Make 10 of the crafts I've pinned on Pinterest
I did one of my pinned things! This one!
Here's how it turned out (why is it that whenever I want to post a photo, I can't find my actual camera?):
I am about 80% on my liking-it scale. It looks nice enough, but it's a little too small. I want to find a square frame that will take an entire sheet of scrapbook paper. But I mean... I got the frame and a pack of four dry-erase markers at Dollar Tree and already had the scrapbook paper, so I have a pretty nice-looking dry-erase board for $2. I'm pleased. :)
Also, the list on there is referring to my organization schedule for my apartment. If my husband and I each dedicate 30 minutes a day in each of these rooms, my whole place will be awesome by mid-February. I hope so!

Multiple Items
Instead of making multiple posts today, I'll condense them into one.
1. Trace my family tree
- Working on this. I was lucky enough to be able to trace my mom's paternal line back to the late 1700s thanks to a public family tree website someone (who I don't know) published.
- I'll try to research my dad's maternal side soon, before my grandma starts losing her memory too much.
- I was able to track down a photo of my biological paternal grandfather through the magic of Google. That's where my nose comes from, I've learned. I wish I could work up the nerve to email him (he's a doctor with a listed hospital email) to find out more family history, but I'm a wimp. Maybe I'll get there someday.
2. Visit 10 new Michigan cities
- Matt took me to Battle Creek last month on a surprise date. There's a brewery out there that we hadn't been to yet, and it was a cute little downtown, though looked kind of bleak with the "death" of Cereal City. Poor Kellogg's. We also visited Paw Paw at the beginning of December.
3. Take a book out from the library each month
- I took two books out today, both dealing with organization. I need to get my life in order. One is called "Find More Time" by Laura Stack, and the other is "1000 Best Quick and Easy Time-Saving Strategies" by Jamie Novak. It's a goal for me to get my house organized and clean by the end of February.
4. Photograph one place each month, and make a calendar for the next year
- I want to start this one this month, but I need to figure out what place to photograph!
5. I'm about to do another chunk of the 5000 question survey, right now:
Learn one new word every month
Hmm, I didn't update for December on this task. I did learn a word, though, so I'll post it now and count it as my word for December, then work on learning a new one for January next.
So, my word for December is logorrhea.
Yeah, like gonorrhea or diarrhea. It refers to incessant, excessive, and/or incoherent talking, and can also refer to an actual psychological disorder. I work with someone who seriously just doesn't ever stop talking, regardless of an audience, and another coworker stated one day that "she must suffer from logorrhea." So I had to delve into that.

-Complete the 5000 Question Survey
I'll see how many of the second chunk I can get through. Hopefully I can at least get through 150.

(Non Project Post)
More than two months later, and I am still obsessed with watching my wedding video. There are 251 views on this-- I'm fairly certain that close to 100 are just from me.
Click here if you want to see it too :)
Anyway, I just decided to watch it for the 101st time, and it made me think of how ego-centric I actually am. Speaking of which, when I get my pro wedding pictures back sometime this week, you can bet my head is going to explode.
