Multiple Items

Instead of making multiple posts today, I'll condense them into one.

1. Trace my family tree
  • Working on this.  I was lucky enough to be able to trace my mom's paternal line back to the late 1700s thanks to a public family tree website someone (who I don't know) published.
  • I'll try to research my dad's maternal side soon, before my grandma starts losing her memory too much.
  • I was able to track down a photo of my biological paternal grandfather through the magic of Google.  That's where my nose comes from, I've learned.  I wish I could work up the nerve to email him (he's a doctor with a listed hospital email) to find out more family history, but I'm a wimp.  Maybe I'll get there someday.
2. Visit 10 new Michigan cities
  • Matt took me to Battle Creek last month on a surprise date.  There's a brewery out there that we hadn't been to yet, and it was a cute little downtown, though looked kind of bleak with the "death" of Cereal City.  Poor Kellogg's.  We also visited Paw Paw at the beginning of December.
3.  Take a book out from the library each month
  • I took two books out today, both dealing with organization.  I need to get my life in order.  One is called "Find More Time" by Laura Stack, and the other is "1000 Best Quick and Easy Time-Saving Strategies" by Jamie Novak.  It's a goal for me to get my house organized and clean by the end of February.
4. Photograph one place each month, and make a calendar for the next year
  • I want to start this one this month, but I need to figure out what place to photograph!
5. I'm about to do another chunk of the 5000 question survey, right now:
